ign - nervous headaches. headache from overstudy, close attention. headache from stimulants, tobacco, coffee, snuff. cannot bear cigarette smoke. pain in a spot. spasmodic symptoms. headache in occiput < straining at stool. emotional, unstable, inconstant...though conscientious. bears complaints silently, but sighs and suffers much.

lac-d - sick headache with nausea and vomiting. begins in forehead and extends back to occiput. intense throbbing, with nausea and vomiting. blindness with headache. copious urination (gels, ign, sang). severe constipation (bry). much relief from bandaging head tightly (arg-n, puls) and from conversation (eup-per). worse from light, noise. headache < during menses. complaints from loss of sleep.
lach - bursting, throbbing, undulating headache. burning on vertex. headache from sun (nat-c, nat-m). worse on falling to sleep, or after sleep. headache on waking, unable to raise head. headache < before menses, > once flow begins, returns when flow ceases. climacteric. headache when discharge from nose ceases (all-c, kali-bi). pain ascending, or from left to right. cannot bear hair touched. must loosen clothes about the neck, untie hair. worse from heat. loquacity.

bar-c: enlarged tonsils. sore-throat < empty swallowing. can only swallow liquids. throat < from every cold - very recurrent throat problems with enlarged tonsils. pain and rawness in throat < at night. swollen lymph nodes. chronicity. ear problems as a concomitant. dull, backward children who cannot study or retain what they have studied.

guaj: recurrent tonsilitis, then rheumatism. sharp stitches towards ear on swallowing. cannot swallow without a drink. throat dry, burning, painful to touch. stiffness of sides of throat.
hep: suppuration, sharp or splinter-like pain in throat and chilliness. much sweating. better from warmth, covers, and also warm drinks. stitching pains extending to ear on yawning. enlarged glands. sensation as of a plug. chronic tonsilitis with hardness of hearing. worse from cold, dry weather, exposure to wind. very irritable. throat pain > speaking.
kali-m: throat grayish-white, ulcerated. hawks out thick milky white mucus or cheesy lumps. tonsils swollen, inflamed. can hardly breathe. swallowing excessively painful. chronic sore-throat. swollen glands. soreness of eustachian tube. white ulcers in mouth, thrush. tongue gray or white at base.
lac-c: throat is glistening red, or has glistening white patches. symptoms change repeatedly from one side to another and back. throat < empty swallowing or swallowing solids. sore-throat begins and ends with menses. tonsilitis and diphtheria with pearly membrane. fluids escape through nose when swallowing. warm or cold fluids relieve throat pain.
lach: sore-throat, left-sided extends to right. neck sensitive to slightest touch or pressure, must loosen collar. choking. as of a lump in throat. empty swallowing is most painful, then liquids, but swallowing solid food may even relieve. bluish and lividity. painful dryness. worse after sleep. pain in tibia along with throat pain.
lyc: sore throat < cold drinks, > warm drinks. begins on right side, extends to left and is worse there. suppuration, esp right tonsil. noseblock. worse in the afternoon, around 4 p.m.
merc: suppuration. tonsils enlarged. profuse salivation. foul breath. worse at night. sore, raw, smarting. ulcers on tonsils, pharynx. constant inclination to swallow. as of a an apple core or something in throat. quinsy with difficult swallowing. glands enlarged. consider if in addition to merc symptoms ---> merc-i-f (if right to left and > cold drinks). merc-i-r (if left to right, with much postnasal discharge). merc-dul (if deafness and eustachian catarrh).
